Image Plan Who is the image of? -The image on the front cover, contents page and double page spread is off the musician staring in the magazine, ‘Oliver Asher’. Oliver Asher is a musician similar to Liam Gallagher; he has just come back into the industry after his last tour which led to months of drug and alcohol abuse. On the cover and on the contents page snippets of his story will be given away, however the full story in on the double page spread. Where will you shoot? -The images I will take for the front cover and double page spread will be taken on a plain backdrop, the background will be neutral therefore it will be easier to edit out and give a clean edge of the image on the edited background. I will edit my images on fireworks to fit my colour scheme. -the image I will take for the contents page will be taken outside in a dark area. I have chosen to shoot this image outside to give the contents page a different aspect in comparison to the front cover and double page spread. I will edit these images if needed by changing the contrast etc. What is the message? -In the images I will take, the model will have eye contact with the camera; this means there will be eye contact with the reader which will represent a personal contact with the reader. Also the image will represent the musician in the image, the musician will have a fierce looking face this will represent the story behind the musician. The model in the shot will be wearing clothes with muted/neutral colours; this is so that the colours will fit in with any colour scheme. The colours also represent the genre of the magazine. What are they doing? -On the front cover Asher is looking directly into the camera, this creates eye contact with the audience and shows his stern look and emotion. This links in with his story and shows his deep emotion. No props will be used on the front cover image. -On the contents page the model will be standing against a wall or other prop. They wont be looking at the camera they will be looking away from the camera. -On the double page spread the model will be looking away from the camera again, I decided to do this so you can see the emotion in the image from reading the story on the double page spread. The angle that the model will be looking will also be towards the text on the page. Shot Planning -The front cover shot will be a head shot or a close up of the models face. However I will take various shots from a variety of angles if the first shot doesn’t look as good. I will leave blanks space in the shot for text and other images that will go on the front cover. -The contents page image will be a full body shot of the model. I feel that this will give a ‘chilled out’ connotation to the page and image whereas on the front cover it will be more serious looking. -For the double page spread the image will be a head shot from the shoulders up.
